Susan Kerrigan-Meany Chief Executive Officer smeany@skmgroup.com
WELL-ROUNDED – The SKM Group runs so smoothly because of Sue’s passion and understanding of the importance of a well-rounded life. While her company is incredibly important to her, so too is her personal life. She brings that strategy into her employee’s working environment, giving them a company with an upbeat, positive and life-sensitive atmosphere. Her philosophy, in turn, affects the dedication that her employees lend to their careers and gives our clients a thoughtful, dedicated relationship with people who have the energy to care deeply about their business. Sue’s unwavering focus on delivering results and providing clients with a high level of service filters through the entire agency – that’s why our clients rave about the results we bring them.
Sue’s years of passion for sales and marketing led her to put her initials on the door of the SKM Group in 1986. She expends her considerable energy developing business opportunities for the agency and for our clients, maintaining solid account relations and providing general agency management.
She has led the agency through a number of mergers to make the SKM Group the integrated communications agency it is today. A well-respected integrated marketing professional, Sue has been an active member of the Direct Marketing Association since 1990, serving as chair of the Direct Marketing Agency council in 2002 and 2003 and as a judge for the 2002-2005 International ECHO Awards. She also represents the SKM Group as a partner in the international network of agencies, ICOM. This network allows SKM to bring international marketing expertise to our clients.
Sue’s altruistic spirit has led her to volunteer the agency’s resources to help many charitable organizations such as Roswell Park Cancer Institute, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Junior Achievement, the United Way and more, creating results and winning awards for these projects along the way.
Among honors bestowed upon Sue is Junior Achievement’s Entrepreneur of the Year award and finalist status in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year competition. She is a board member of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership and Amherst Chamber of Commerce.
Sue enjoys golf, traveling, decorating and spending time with her family.

Mike Mathis Senior Vice President, Executive Creative Director mmathis@skmgroup.com
INTUITIVE – Mike has over two decades experience as a creative director and writer at national ad agencies in retail, direct marketing, healthcare and business-to-business. His work has earned numerous national ADDY and Telly Awards and been highlighted in Ad Age, Ad Week and the Communication Arts Annual Review.
He’s created work for a first-rate portfolio of popular brands, local to global.
Arm & Hammer. Bausch & Lomb. Bosch. Buffalo Bills. Buick. Kodak. Kroger. MasterCard. Milwaukee Electric Tools. New York State Electric & Gas. NEC. PaineWebber. RCA. REHAU. Sherwin-Williams. Time Warner. Wendy’s and Xerox.
Mike has done it all with an unfailing belief that the most important word in advertising is YOU. That’s the person watching a TV spot, listening to a radio commercial, viewing a billboard, print ad, online ad or direct mail piece. He leads our creative team and inspires exceptional work every day based on what “you” will understand, trust, and respond to.
His ideas made snow fall in a Manhattan sound stage in August. They moved a health plan from #3 to #1 in the market. They raised awareness for a trauma center from 13 to 85%. They helped a manufacturer of power tools hit a 2-year sales goal in 9 months flat. And they generated the biggest summer of produce sales in company history for one of America’s leading grocery chains. Mike has a proven ability to generate results. For SKM clients, that’s more than great creative work. It’s great business.
