SKM Group is a member of ICOM, a network of independent advertising and marketing communications agencies in more than 55 countries throughout the world. These agencies cover 95% of the world’s markets and account for more than 2,500 employees. Founded as the National Federation of Advertising Agencies in 1950, the group was renamed to ICOM in 1998 to reflect an expanded range of capabilities.
Each agency involved with ICOM is individually owned and operated, but is able to take advantage of ICOM’s ready-to-use resources for advertising in other countries.
Being a member of ICOM offers SKM a sizeable competitive advantage by offering the value of a “multi-local” approach. For middle-size clients that do not have a big internal structure for international marketing, SKM can partner with ICOM for assistance. ICOM member agencies all typically provide personal service, strong market understanding and knowledge of advertising, direct marketing, advertising design and identity, strategic planning, sales promotion, strategic media, public relations, event management, and interactive development.
